1. Who we are

fombr ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify app that provides FOMO marketing tools including sales popups, low stock badges, visitor counters, and countdown timers. Our registered contact email is support@fombr.com.

2. Information we collect

When a merchant installs fombr we receive from Shopify:

  • Shop domain and Shopify store ID
  • Access token scoped to read_products, read_inventory, and write_script_tags

When the fombr widget loads on a storefront we collect:

  • Impression counts (how many times a widget was shown per product)
  • Hover/interaction counts

We do not collect, store, or process any personal data about end shoppers (names, emails, IP addresses, or purchase history).

3. How we use this information

  • To authenticate your Shopify store and inject the fombr widget
  • To display analytics in your fombr dashboard (impression and hover counts)
  • To monitor app performance and fix issues

We do not sell, rent, or share merchant data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

Merchant data is stored in Supabase (hosted in the EU). We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Access tokens are stored encrypted. We retain your data for as long as your fombr subscription is active. Upon uninstall, your data is deleted within 30 days.

5. Third-party services

fombr uses the following sub-processors:

  • Supabase — database hosting (EU region)
  • DigitalOcean — backend API hosting (EU region)
  • Vercel — frontend hosting
  • Shopify — app platform and billing

6. Shopify app requirements

fombr complies with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API Terms of Service. We only request the minimum OAuth scopes required for the app to function. We do not access protected customer data (orders, customer records) and have not applied for Shopify's protected customer data approval.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are based in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about your store
  • Request deletion of your store data
  • Object to our processing

8. Cookies

The fombr merchant dashboard does not use tracking cookies. The storefront widget does not set any cookies on end shoppers' browsers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active merchants by email of any material changes. Continued use of fombr after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
